He is an assistant professor of radiology and an attending physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Posham's expertise spans a broad range of minimally invasive procedures which enable him to manage and treat a wide range of conditions, from cancer care to men's and women's health. Among his clinical interests are complex portal hypertension in patients with liver disease, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men, uterine fibroids in women, and transarterial chemo and radiation therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma patients.
Dr. Posham is actively involved in academic research and has made significant contributions to the field of interventional radiology. His research interests encompass trans-radial arterial access, peripheral arterial disease interventions, and complex inferior vena cava filter retrieval techniques. Through numerous peer-reviewed articles in prestigious medical journals, he has enhanced the understanding and practice of interventional radiology, earning recognition for his dedication to advancing medical knowledge. His contributions to the medical community have been recognized with various honors, including the Editor's Award for Outstanding Clinical Research at the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) 2017 Annual Scientific Meeting and the Burton Drayer Prize in Radiology and Imaging from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Posham served as chief resident in the Integrated Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. He holds an MD with Distinction in Research from the prestigious Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Additionally, he earned an MPA with a specialization in health services management from New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and a BA in economics, graduating magna cum laude from New York University's College of Arts and Science.
