Vladimir Sheynzon, MD - Interventional Radiologist

Dr. Vladimir Sheynzon is a board-certified radiologist with specialization in vascular and interventional radiology. He is an associate professor of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and an assistant attending radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

As an actively practicing clinician, Dr. Sheynzon regularly cares for many very complicated oncologic, transplant, hemodialysis, and pediatric patients using minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. He is the co-director of the Columbia HHT Center of Excellence, the only center in NY State designated as a center of excellence by Cure HTT. Dr. Sheynzon performs IR procedures at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Hosptial, and NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, as well as Columbia Radiology’s two outpatient facilities in midtown Manhattan and Tarrytown, NY.

Dr. Sheynzon received his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/New Jersey Medical School. He completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Mount Sinai Hospital/Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He subsequently joined the division of vascular and interventional radiology at the State University of New York, Stony Brook Health Sciences Center as assistant professor of clinical radiology. Dr. Sheynzon joined the faculty in the Department of Radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in 2009.

Dr. Sheynzon is actively involved in teaching of the radiology residents and interventional radiology fellows at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the Healthcare Industry Association at Columbia Business School.
